Representation of People/Groups

As there is only going to be a couple of people in the music video, a male to sing and a female for the start there is only a few things we need to think about, and how to represent them. As we have a fairly young target audience aged around 15-25 we would like to have some uses and gratifications such as identification, social interaction and entertainment through watching the video but to also go against stereotypes of young people wearing hoodies and that they are disrespectful towards others.

in regards to the costume they would be wearing we would have to portray a positive image, and have a smart casual outfit, maybe dark or light coloured to go with the nature of the song as its genre is Rock. Having them dressed this way portrays them as respectable to the audience which possibly would identify with them, especially since they would be a similar age.

Although they may be dressed respectable, the characters may be presented negatively in some instances such as when he may be drunk or when he smokes but this is due to his depressive state he is in for a reason. this portrays realism as a relationship has many highs and lows, but this focuses mainly on the lows and the hard times and again the audience would be able to relate to this.

Locations List

Wordle: Locations List

We have chosen these locations as they represent a certain quality to our video,it looks more professional if the video is filmed away from our school location. The locations chosen are significant landmarks that we felt the audience would be able to relate to and recognise, it also gives it a special touch to the video and is visually appealing.
The positives of the locations is that they will look good on camera and will look professional,we can also get some good shots achieved from different angles and shot types. However the negatives of the locations is that the weather might effect the outcome on the camera and would certainly look better when its dry or when the location is well lit up so thr camera can pick it up and it stands out. travel could also be an issue as well, if there is travel disruptions or closures then we won't be able to film and would have to re-schedule.

Shooting Schedule

We hopefully will start filming within the next week, and attempt to get the filming finished within a few days in various locations. During the time we film, and when we are editing the music video, we will be updating our blogs with the progress of filming and detailed reports of what we have done after each day. Our main location is going to be Central London, so we estimate a few days of filming or even more if we want further shots, we might even use further locations to get other shots.
The time that we film will be spread across the day, at night we can get some good shots of London lit up and the refections on the river Thames as well as the good street lighting so we can film there easily.

There are a lot of the landmarks within confined area in london so it shouldn't take to long to fit these into the video. The schedule that is planned is listed below and hopefully we will not encounter problems within our group, the transport system or our actors.

Shooting Schedule-

27th September

On this date we plan to travel to London and get some sequences shot, such as 'filler shots' at trafalgar square and westminster and involve our our male actor if possible to save time.

4th October-

We plan to once again travel to London by tube and complete further shots with Jack, our actor, we plan to get a variety of shots such as close ups, long shots and high and low angles. the locations we plan to shoot in include Green Park, Trafalgar Square and Westminster.

7th October-

On this day we plan to travel to Carshalton Ponds, which is local, although we ideally don't want to film locally, this area is visually attractive and is an area of beauty, we are going to film the cemetery scene with our male actor and get some shots in Grove Park which is opposite, some fillers may also be achieved.

List of People involved

People involved include:

Charlie Gilbert- Locations/editor
Nathan Russell- Editor
Jon Chace- Director and ideas
Will Pilkington- Filming and research/editor
Jason Fox(technician to help out if needed)

Male Actor- Jack Morris
Female actor- Jessica Sammut

For our actors we are using we decided this would be a good combination as they have a real life relationship, so emotions in the video can be more realistic and also they match the description for the type of character we need for his song, and he can portray and indie/rock look also which is what we want.
