Copyright Letter

Dear Copyright Holder,

We are seeking permission to use one of your songs in our A Level music video by The Fray. This song we would like to use is ‘You Found Me’. If we are granted permission we would use your song in our A2 Media Studies music video which involves not only creating the music video, but an advert for both the album and magazine featuring the artist.

This song would only be used for education purposes and only the OCR exam board, those within my media class and my teacher would be able to view the music video itself. It would not be released for viewing by a large audience.

Both the artist and your institution would receive recognition through both the process of pre-production and during the creation of the final piece itself. A copyright notice from you would be included in our project and if this is required please let us know as soon as possible.

Yours Sincerely,

Nathan Russell
Charlie Gilbert
Jon Chace
Will Pilkington

All About Me

The Media industry is very important in the world we live in today, some of the things that has drastically changed is the way we socialise with each other and the way we receive news and communicate around the world. Some of the things that i enjoy is the easy way we can receive the news and some of the advanced effects that movies can now achieve, some of the best films i like are from the James Bond Series, but i also like comedy films.

At Advanced Studies, we had to make an opening to a film, at the start it was worrying that we wouldn't finish in time, but luckily we finished with some time to spare, our opening and blog turned out well with most of our group receiving A's. what i did learn was that it is important to plan the film well in advance and to use lots of different shots and angles what i would like to develop in A2 would be the planning of the film, and spend longer on the plan and think of what we are going to do. What i am looking forward to in making the music video is team work involved and the planning of it , to be creative and film in various locations as it will be 3x as long as the film opening.

Our group will consist of Charlie Gilbert, Nathan Russell, Jon Chace and Will Pilkington.
